This Circuit introduces the visitor to the history of the Museu Nacional/UFRJ as a museum, research, and teaching institution. Moreover, it presents the scientific production that has been carried out since its creation in 1818 to the present day.

It aims to bring the public closer to science, helping them understand its history in Brazil. The Circuit will also bring forward the history of the Paço de São Cristóvão, an essential heritage of the history of Brazil and the history of the Museum that are at least partially intertangled.
